ACLU Files Lawsuit On Phone Spying Program
Posted June 11th, 2013 @ 3:56pm

The federal government is being targeted in a lawsuit over its National Security Agency phone spying program.  The details were leaked last week by former government contractor Edward Snowden.  The American Civil Liberties Union is filing suit over the Constitutionality of the program.  President Obama has claimed feds were only targeting non-citizens and were not listening to phone calls.

The ACLU suit claims the government is squashing free speech by violating First Amendment rights, as well as privacy rights protected under the Fourth Amendment.  Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, the FBI, NSA and others are named in the suit.
