Pistons Host Basketball Clinic For Special Olympics Players

Detroit, MI - 65 special olympian’s of Michigan participated in a skills and drills camp hosted by the Detroit Pistons celebrating NBA Jr week.

The camp featured Pistons Andre Drummond - who serves as a global ambassador for the special olympics - his newest teammate Bruce Brown along with Pistons legends Earl Cureton and John Long. “Being around these kids, giving them my insight” Drummond says “It gives me a lot of joy, it makes me feel really happy."

The special olympian players also received customized jerseys with their names on the back, signed by Andre and Bruce, a NBA basketball, and tickets to an upcoming Pistons game at Little Caesars Arena.  "Its massive” says Rick Brady, Area Leadership Manager for special olympics Michigan. “Anytime you get an organization like the Pistons to give-back to an organization like ours, were great”
