Frank Ocean has definitely had a complex relationship with his father. Especially considering that his father sued him for $14.5 million for defamation. Updates from new sources now report that the Channel Orange singer, has won the case.
According to TMZ:
The singerโs dad, Calvin Cooksey, had sued him โฆ claiming Frank defamed him with a social media post recalling a story from his childhood. Frank said his pop had called a transgender waitress โa f****t.โ
A judge heard the case in L.A. Tuesday, and ruled in favor of Frank โฆ saying Cooksey failed to prove his son had defamed him at all. Frankโs attorney tells us, โIt was a sad case, but we are glad that it ended in Frankโs favor and that it is over.โ
